The Nexus 6 To Get Android Nougat Update From Early January
Android 7.1.1 Nougat was rolled out a few weeks ago to most mobile devices including all the Nexus, and Pixel models expect the one. Motorola Nexus 6 was missing out on the deal of the latest Nougat update.
Any Nexus 6 user would have felt the absence of the new Android version and would have waited for its update.

The search giant, Google finally mentioned the official update of Nougat for Nexus 6 but hadn’t yet said the exact date.

According to the report stated by Google recently referred to the delay for the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for Nexus 6 was due to the last minute bug that was specific to the device. The company also said that the bug issue has since fixed and the update would be commencing sooner.
Google’s statement to the Android Police said the following statement that unfortunately, they had found a last minute bug peculiar to the Nexus 6. It has caused the delay of the Android 7.1.1 OTA rollout. Also, they’ve since fixed the issue and will be rolling out the new update in early January, said the statement.
Ever since the launch of Nexus 6 in November 2014, Nougat would be the last update for the device since its release. Also, the phone had not received the Android 7.1.0 update and hence the users expect the Nougat update as the major one that brings all new features and more.
