WhatsApp Likely To Roll Out Snapchat Like Stories Feature In iOS
Facebook-owned WhatsApp likely planning to soon add a new feature that might be very similar to that of the Snapchat’s Stories feature.
Though, the feature would be rolled out to iOS (iPhones) first and then later might be rolled out to the Android versions. It means that iPhone users would be able to put forth the photos and videos in their Status option area with their contacts if the latest leaked image was assumed to be true. The feature was much similar to the Snapchat Stories, which would automatically disappear after 24 hours of updating.
WABetaInfo tweeted an alleged picture of the upcoming feature on the iOS version along with the text that read as follows, “Status introduction text updated in WhatsApp beta for iOS 2.17.4+.” The feature has been on the cards as of November 2016.

The image that has leaked also shows that the new functionality would come with the privacy settings as well and there would be a high possibility that the update would be soon rolled out.
Facebook has been emulating the Snapchat features, and the new speculative feature to the users comes as no surprise. Earlier the reports also indicated that the WhatsApp would soon allow its users to track friends and follow them. Another new feature was also on the cards which would notify the users once after their contacts change their status. Users would also be able to comment on the new status.
Other reports also indicated that the company might be working on a feature that helps the users to edit the sent messages or revoke them all together as like the feature available in Viber.
