People who just want to listen to videos from YouTube on their iPhone and not really watch them. You may want to hear a lecture without a video cast or podcast, or a music playlist while doing something else. To do this, turn your iPhone’s screen off.
Loading a Youtube Video on iPhone
Step 1: While YouTube Video is loading, Launch Safari app and Look for it on your iPhone. Just click that app to launch it.
Step 2: Type “youtube.com” on the address bar or search box to go to Youtube Page of Safari which is located in the top middle portion of the app.
Step 3: Search video by tapping the magnifying glass icon on the upper right corner of the page which will bring out the search bar. Search for the needed video that you want to listen.
Step 4: Tap the video you want to listen here. The video’s in YouTube page will load, and the video will start playing.
Playing the Video in the Background
Step 1: Press the “Home” button of your iPhone to go to the home screen. Safari app will close and brought to the home screen. The YouTube video will stop playing, and no audio will also be heard.
Step 2: To bring out the Control Center just Swipe up from the bottom of your screen. This will display the Control Center.
Step 3: Tap the “Play” button to continue the audio from the YouTube video which running previously in Safari. You will immediately hear the video again without re-launching Safari.
You can do anything on your iPhone while playing or you can even turn the screen off while listening to the audio.
Doing Something Else while Listening
Step 1: Move and open another app on iPhone. You can send messages or even compose an email by hearing to the audio. It will continue playing without any buffer.
Step 2: You can even turn the screen off to save battery if you’re not going to do anything else on the iPhone. The audio will remain same and continue playing.
Step 3: To bring out the Control Center again, just swipe up again from the bottom of your screen. Click the “Pause” button to stop the audio and also can resume later by tapping the play button again. If you want to close the video, exit from the YouTube page from Safari.
