Step by Step Procedure to Root Android Phones
Step 1: Go to “Settings > About” which is on the bottom of settings menu on the phone.
Step 2: Click the “Build number” 6 – 7 times. This will enable the developer options the phone.
Step 3: Go back to “Settings” and click “Developer”. This menu option appears after enabling developer mode and show a list of developer and hidden debugging options.
Step 4: Select “OEM Unlock.” This setting will allow the phone to be rooted automatically.
Step 5: Install and open Odin on the computer, it is specifically designed for rooting Samsung phones, but only available for Windows and found very rare for Androids.
Step 6: Download and install the Android Phones USB driver to make use of the phone’s USB debugging options on the computer.
Step 7: Download and extract the Phone Chainfire auto root file. Right-click the .zip file and select “Extract”.
Step 8: Press the hold the Home, Power, and Volume Down buttons on the phone together. After a few moments, Download Mode will be ON.
Step 9: Connect a phone to the computer via USB while Odin is running and the phone is in Download Mode.

Step 10: Click “AP.” The user will be assisted to browse for a file to use. Select the auto root file you extracted ending in .tar.md5.
Step 11: Press Start. The rooting process will commence, and it will reboot the phone throughout the process and then boot into Android when it is finished.
